Matar Ndour, Ethno-photographe sénégalais en compagnie du Socio-Anthropologue Abdou Ndukur Kacc Ndao (arraché à notre affection le vendredi 6 septembre 2024), parcourt depuis 15 ans, le territoire sénégambien et bissaoguinéen ; des itinéraires initiatiques magnifiquement illustrés dans leur beau livre « From Tenda to Ajamat ». L’exposition « Signes et Symboles » en collaboration avec Echo Communication, est la résultante d’une résidence photographique de Matar Ndour dans le Kassa sur la valorisation et la préservation du patrimoine Joola, des types et modèles d’héritage toujours vivaces.
Matar Ndour, a Senegalese Ethno-photographer, and Socio-Anthropologist Abdou Ndukur Kacc Ndao (gone on Friday, September 6, 2024), have traveled through the Senegambian and Bissau-Guinean lands for 15 years. The initiatory itineraries are magnificently illustrated in their beautiful book « From Tenda to Ajamat ». The « Signs and Symbols” exhibition, in collaboration with Echo Communication, is the result of a photographic residency by Matar Ndour in Kassa on the promotion and preservation of the Joola heritage, heritage types and models that are still very much alive.
